Grossmann Fantastic Film And Wine Festival Rerun
From 25. to the 30. of July we were hosting the biggest fantastic film festival in the world and as the year before it fell upon me to do the part of the official photographer and once again I had a blast. But one week of wine tastings and movie premiers and sleep deprivation takes it’s tool so that’s why I’m posting my flicks a few weeks after the dust settled. You can check out the full sets on www.grossmann.si in the gallery section.
What made this years festival so special is that fact that we had two guests of honor and two lifetime achievement awards to give out. The first honor was bestowed upon mr. Menahem Golan, the producer of such movies as American Ninja, Blood Sport, Cobra and Delta Force (the latter was also directed my mr. Golan). The man is a legend of the movie industry in my eyes seeing how I grew up watching all those movies.
The second lifetime achievement award went to Nosferatu himself, Sir Christopher Lee. I don’t know what I can say about the man that hasn’t been said already except that I hope to be holding up as good as he is when I’ll be hitting 90. The man is truly a hollywood legend and the best movie villain ever, period.
We closed the festival with the award ceremony and before the musical program we staged a vampires ball that everyone was masking up for the whole afternoon.
From an objective perspective I must say that the festival itself is an experience that every true filmophile and vine lover must experience at least once and then you’ll just keep coming back every year for more.
